Sorry for the intrusion everyone but just wanted to say that I really enjoyed Nick Maxwell's special comments during the Haw v Rich game this arvo - seems to see the game at a much deeper level than most of the other current/recent past players.

Nope. Considering just about the only real strength Maxwell has is his ability to read the play better than most other players you'd assume he'd be into coaching pretty quickly though (and good at it).

I'm pretty sure I've heard Maxy say he wants a career in the media, post-playing. Not only that, but he believes he can contribute insights and analysis at a level that's missing from much of the current commentary. Not short of confidence, our Maxy, and fair enough. Always Hawks, maybe that is what you picked up on today?

Yeah he'd be well suited either way it seems - just seems a shame for that sort of insight not to be applied directly in coaching.
