Tbh who is going to replace him in the side ? Untried in Weller and Blakely. Duffield? Please.. At the moment Nic offers more pressure and desire then MDB, Mzungu, Duffield and perhaps D. Pearce. It's been a crap year for most of the 'B Graders' . We rely so much on Hill, Mundy, Fyfe and Neale to win us the close games.

Crowley lol

We may as well play with a tagger with our form. I don't see Suban been dropped, he is a certain starter come finals. We need to concentrate on not letting MDB back in the side.

Not at the coach's expense of dropping games in the immediate future. Ross prefers to play the battle hardened B-grade warriors over the 'could be anythings' so we'll see Suban comfortably reach 200 games yet. There'll be no momentary drop in team output due to blooding quality kids over the tried & true battlers, unfortunately.

As we've seen with A. Pearce this year, we'll probably see 1, maybe 2 kids start to get their foot in the door next year, but certainly not all the names we expect to see in there playing every week.

The reality is Suban is not going anywhere. We will see him play 300 for Freo. He's basically a more fiery version of McManus.

I've always been a Suban fan. Not flashy but gets in and gets it done. Has a pretty big boot on him as well.

Anyone else see his 60m bomb through the goals just after the half time siren? Was a ripper kick.

Anyone else think that role might have something to do with it? A common knock on him is that he doesnt get enough footy. I feel that in our full strength midfield he is last or second last on the rotation, so often plays a negating or blocking role. Yesterday he started in the middle. Obviously we cant tell just off yesterday as Melbourne were woeful.

Same could be said with Mick Barlow this season and even Chris Mayne last.

I heard the crowd go nuts on the tv but the coverage had already moved on - wasn't sure if it was a goal or something a player did flashy after the siren. Would have been a cracker of a kick being on his wrong side I believe

Gotta say he has had a good run of form for a few weeks now and his place in the team is safe as houses.

Very good 2 1/2 quarters. When he starts playing 4 quarters he will be an even more valuable contributer to our midfield rotation and will allow us to use Fyfe forward a bit more without robbing us of our midfield grunt. Hopefully, he will carry this into finals level opposition.

His place was always safe this year.

If only he could play like that against decent opponents, lets face it Melb were equivalent to a WAFL side. They lost their best midfielder, was always going to be hard.

In three quarters, he had four disposals. His direct opponent had 28.

There is no argument. He is ******* shit.
He didn't have a direct opponent. He was switching between all 3.
