So waddya reckon ? Will we compromise our principles ?
Does Colin Sylvia come in now ?

If we are going to whore ourselves we may as well be winning whores.

Don't think they can pick him after the drop my bundle and then punch someone behind play match. But geez he should want to play a blinder for Peel next weekend, there are opportunities galore for anyone who can put two solid weeks together, you would think.

But they can bring Ballantyne back after he dropped the knees into someone behind play, right? (for what must the 4th or 5th time now)

Conversely he could come into our forward line and be so fired up that he smashes West Coast's defence.
I want him in . This is a critical game.

Frustrating to the max, but he has many more credits in the bank with match selection committee than Sylvia. He is the only true small forward that we have that come in to crum to the talls and apply the forward line pressure we need. So yes, he remains an automatic selection. But are we all annoyed at his actions last week? Absolutely! These actions are losing us games.

Sure is a critical game. In form, Sylvia should have been the player that meant we didn't miss Barlow so badly at all. Yeah I want him in as well, but he has to be in form to be able to have an impact (this is also important for him to stay in the team).

So, is he in the kinda of form (both physically, mentally and game wise) to be able to have an impact? I have no farking idea and sadly, I suspect, neither do the Freo selection panel.

well ballas was in the 22 when he dropped his knee while sylvia he wasn't and maybe on the verge of a call up ... now you tell which was a more stupider act?

I would have thought the opposite would be the case due to his terrible tribunal record. But I guess everyone here knows there's some secret sin that Sylvia has committed that makes him worse than everyone.

Let's wipe the slate clean and stop apportioning blame. The message to both Colin and Hayden is powerful, win us this bloody game; you owe us.

Didn't know we moved the Colin Sylvia discussion here :p

Purely from selection eligibility, I see Sylvia like Ballas, that is, he's served his suspension, he available for selection, he should be considered

Only thing is, whatever that is holding him back from selection 2 weeks ago (form, fitness, attitude?) may still hold him back, since he didn't have the opportunity to demonstrate to the coaches that he've fixed it in wafl.

Ok, maybe if it's just waiting for a best 22 player to lose form, he may still be a chance.

Well despite only having 50% game time I thought this was one of his best games for the club. The side needed a boost and he provided that in the first five minutes he was on.

He still has massive flaws, and I'm still not convinced he's any good, but hopefully this wake up call sticks and he plays more games closer to this than usual.

I was happy with his contribution today, maybe being the sub lit a fire under him just enough to try and make him want to work himself back into the starting 21, to which regular programming will resume next week.

Yep I guess, but would be happy to change Suban for Morabito next week. I think Morabito and even Sylvia can add more, if proven wrong, then I will be happier with his contribution and being in the team.
