Is Nick now the premier PG in the league?

I know its only been two games BUT to get 27 p, 8 ast first night and back that up with 44p, 8 reb, 9 ast is outstanding.

Very few PG's are capable of scoring 44 points in a game.

Unlike other high scoring PG's he has the defensive side to his game, he's an outstanding rebounder for one so small. Also unlike other high scoring pG's he's not selfish, averaging 7.5 assists a game.

IMO He's definitely the premier PG in the business.

And he's also in my fantasy team. ;) :D

Ya reckon Allen Iverson is a true point guard??

He's no John Stockton. He only averages 5 assists a game, a PG worth his salt should have no less than 7 assists per game.

Yes he runs the ball but he isn't a genuine PG.

Cheers

ok.. my rundown on the top PG's..

at the very top...

its:
1. Payton
2. Kidd....

hard to split, right now.. payton far better scorer... kidd has more assists, but payton is no slouch... kidd is a great rebounder for a PG... payton is a monster on defense... i go with payton cos of another point.. in that u could rely on him to take the final shot to win a game.. an ability kidd doesnt have...

next..

3. Stephon Marbury
4. Sam Cassell
5. Baron Davis
6. Nick Van Excel
7. Damon Stoudamire
8. Steve Nash
9. Andre Miller
10. Mike Bibby

i didnt put stevie franchise nor iverson in...
cos those two are more like SG's... as is jason terry..

was gonna put john stockton at no.10... but, at this point.. argh.. too hard...

apologies to my favourite PG in the league.. Kenny Anderson...

Nick's form is keeping up, 32 points 9 reb and 7 assists.

Given the amount of shots he's going to be taking in the Denver lineup he has to be a chance to win the scoring title.

Cheers

P&P ... calm down man.

a) its only three games into the season.

b) he is taking a bucketload of shots because McDyess is injured.

c) when McDyess returns he will be the second option on offence.

d) you cant become the premier point guard in the league in 3 games.

Cheers.

Mark my words, the man will be an All-Star and he'll win the scoring title.

Cheers

heheh... ph&ph... settle down man...

allstar... maybe... as jkidd has moved to the east..
but, i dont think he'd get the fan votes, nor the coach's vote ahead of francis/starbury/payton...

scoring title... no way ~~
