When I lived in Melbourne it was much warmer in the winter, I almost never wore a puffy jacket as I got too hot, the wind down here is torture.

It rains SO much in Melbourne. I haven't spent enough time in Gippsland to comment. It's a different kind of cold though from the game of footy I played there.

I was stupid enough to go get a pizza one night in Latrobe, from the pub to the Pizza shop is about 100 metres, maybe a bit more, but it's not far, stupid me had shorts and thongs on, I can tell you now, I didn't do that again.

According to the BOM data, Gippsland has about 30% more rain than Hobart or Launceston. Also, depending where in Gippsland, it can be similar temperatures to Launceston or Hobart overnight.

So it'd be a good place for a football stadium, with a roof.

Someone put a graph up the other day saying Hobart has more days of rain, you may not get as much, but it rains more regular if that makes sense.

I would bet without looking, the rain Darwin gets would nearly drown Hobart, yet it wouldn't rain nearly 1/2 the time.

You have been crying for years the AFL won't give you a team, now they make some conditions and all you do is cry about them, some people can't be pleased no matter what.
