Nicknames

I was just thinking, What do the nicknames we call the players represent? For example, This may sound stupid, but for YONKS I have called Ian Perrie 'Sarge', But I dont even know why? I've just picked it up off everone else!?

Also, I've beem trying to brainstorm all the players with nicknames and what they are... Care to help me? Here's a few...

Mark Ricciuto = Roo
Andrew McLeod = Magic
Ian Perrie = Sarge
Simon Goodwin = Goody
Fergus Watts = Fungus
Trent Hentschel = Hentschel Potential
Graham Johncock = Stiffy

I also tend to take their first names and put a 'y' on the end, As in Lukey, Matty, Fergy, Scotty, Benny, Kenny, Marky, Andy, Rhetty & Krissy.

Fergus Watts = Fungus. A lady from the Crows Supporters told me this last season, She said it's because when he plays, he's all over the field. I'm pretty sure she meant it in a good way.

McLeod = Magic aswell as Macca, or if you've got the energy... MACCA MAGIC!

The reason players call Perrie Sarge is because of the way he walks. In other words they think he walks like a sargent (sp?) and decided to take the mickey out of him
