Nicole Pratt - our last Aussie left in the open!

With the second week of the open edging closer, we have seen several big Aussie names fall at our hands. Im talking about players along the likes of Lleyton Hewitt, Mark Phillipoussis, Andrew Ilie, Wyne Aurthers, Scott Drapper and Alicia Molic. But young hopeful Aussie Nicole Pratt tonight has the chance of advancing through to the round of 16. I think Nicole will need all the support she can get for her to get across the line tonight.

it's really sad that she is our last hope... and i hate to say it but i gotta agree....she's gonna get killed... what a strange open, none of the top 5 seeds in the mens AND no aussies... what is wrong with us???

I barley even watch Womens Tennis up and untill the Quarter Finals.
Why?
Because the gap between the top players and the field is quite remarkable. Seriously, it is a shamble.

In the men's draw, there are usually upsets, 5 set slug fests between seeds and unknown players in early rounds.
But, in the womens draw, Hingis/Williams sisters etc and the other seeds all go through like 6-1 6-0 up untill at least the Qtr Finals.
It becomes a bore fest.
