The reason she cops flak is not because she is a female, it is because she sticks up for you and then she cops the flak because you have infuriated and antagonized someone to the point they take their frustration out of her and abuse her.

I have no problem talking footy with a girl even if it is a port (will show the pork respect today) Adelaide supporter.

She is entitled to her opinion as much as anyone on these boards and whether or not she agrees with dyertribe is irrelevant. She deserves respect of other posters earned on her merits but I get the feeling that a lot of people slag off at her because she is dating dyertribe and he seems to rub a few people up the wrong way for some reason.

Lately, _espoir has been copping a lot of flack on this board because she is a port supporter or because she stands up for dyertribe. If people have a problem with dyertribe (and I really see no reason why they should) then they should take sort it out with him and not senselessly slag _espoir in the process.

I have been posting on these boards for a LONG LONG time (as is evident by my post count) but I must say that the quality of posts has greatly decreased in the last 12 months or so and the bickering and bitching has increased astronomically.

With all due respect; if you're male you get that respect. Us females struggle to find it. It is a pattern that has been here forever. Every male thinks females only like footy for the tight shorts. I don't know how the females were like before I came on here, but for some reason that has made everyone think girls only want the tight shorts. Which is not true. The stereotypes are pathetic, and really annoy the hell out of me. Especially when people dont realise the quality posts that people like espy produce. If you take the time to read her posts you will see she knows a hell of alot about footy and she even has a good word on strategies and tactics.

AngelEyes your post is so valid. Part of the reason alot of females don't post on here i am sure is because any opinion we may have is dismissed. Believe it or not some of us do actually know something about the game, and love it for the spectacle it is, not for Oh my god how cute is he and ohhh such and such got a hair cut.

Perhaps if the likes of _espoir were shown some respect for what she posts, which i have found to be informative, then others of us may be inclined to participate.

Personally - I don't think it's any of our business if two posters are dating or if someone sticks up for some one else. I think the bigger issue is that Port supporters shouldn't be allowed to breed, but that's just me ...

Back on point - of course Mrs Cornes is wrong in saying that Crows fans should be supporting Port in the Grand Final. It is ludicrous and some how fascist to suggets that it is "un South Australian" to be supporting the Bears. It's like George W saying it's unAmerican to not support everything the president does.

Okay - it's actually nothing like that. It is much more important.

Surely you can tell, even though that thread has been dealt with, myself and skippy have put our differences aside, unlike some people we learn to get along even if we disagree with each other on football related topics. Just on the topic, i dont agree with the way Nicole wrote the artical if you go back thru the thread to my first post on the topic at hand, you'll see that i said "IMO i think articals in the paper from people that only are writing because of "connections" (such as Nicole) shouldn't mean so much to people. Sometimes they believe they can say what they want because its a newspaper, doesn't give them the right to sledge supporters like that. Everyone has a right to support who they want. Whether its one team or two teams, or heck the whole lot of them. Surely sometimes people are smart enough to realise not everyone was gonna back port, mostly if they are crows supporters, and those that didnt- they stood their ground. *shrugs* Why even have a go at that? not bad sportsmenship. Bad sportsmenship is having a go at Port because they won, not because they didn't support them."

I think she should get off her high horse, we dont all have 2 step sons playing in the powers team to make barracking for them a little easier.

I think alot of the majority of Port supporters wouldnt want or expect Crows fans to jump on board, the rivalry between the two clubs is heated but good for SA football. If the situation was the other way round and Adelaide were playing off for the premiership I wouldnt want Port supporters going for us because when we do win it just makes it all that more sweeter IMO.

Haha Tis all good. I havent been here all that long myself but I have noticed the increase of tension on here, as long as it doesnt get personal Im not too fussed by it all.

Good post Stiffy, so this will be the final one on another crappy personal-abuse thread. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on the Crows Board, including non-Crows supporters. However, respect must be shown towards Crows supporters & the club, & all posters in general terms. Quite frankly little respect for others has been shown by quite a few posters on this a few other threads, so time for people to stop posting ongoing personal abuse, or you will be banned.
