Easy fixed. Apply the same criteria for entering a normal licensed premises. It’d be a very valuable lesson paying a few hundred dollars on a ticket and not being able to enter.
It’s not just that, it’s the people having BBQs or going to pubs from lunchtime. Gunna be a lot of spew on the streets.
I spewed after last year's Grand Final and that wasn't at twilight. Nor was it because of alcohol.

One of the best things about covid is that it has disproven a lot of stupid claims that ' X won't work because....'
I was quite fond of a traditional day grand final but the night games the last two years have been better, it's that simple.
Once they've sorted the grand final timeslot out, they can move onto transitioning from the current farce to a proper 17-5 fixture since covid also proved surprise surprise you can actually schedule games on a rolling basis throughout the year without much fuss

Night only worked this year because we were attending it

Well yeah half full GABBA was going to be pretty s**t whenever the game was played...

I thought the gabba grand final was fine, it just looks better at night and is more social
It wasn't the location, it was waiting around all day for it, festivities were crap due to that
Having a party was crap because you either start it way later or have a huge gap between the game
It worked this time because we had to actually get to the game, could go to the Casino before it and have a few drinks etc

Twilight is the only way to go otherwise it finishes too late to really party for the competing teams.
Fortunately for WA, it the future we will get the best of both worlds and have a 5pm GF in the dark on TV, with the for a late Saturday night BBQ & festivities.
