Loves the subcontinental wickets.

England will probably take an aggressive approach to Lyon this summer.

All spinners get attacked pretty much all the time on our decks but the fact lyon can still take nearly 4 wickets a test at 34 on those dead tracks while he is the obvious target is why he is so valuable, it really is a ridiculously hard job being a frontline spinner in australia right now and i don't think the top spinners in the world like ashwin jadeja shah herath ect would do that well if they played most of their games here.

Hopefully lyon can back this up with a solid home summer and stop what seems constant speculation over his place in the side, he's only 29 (with 260+ wickets to his name) which for an offie is still pretty young but it is going to be a hard next year and a half for aussie spinners as the only away tour is SA.

The grief that he cops on this board is ridiculous.
Truly is. Less than 100 wickets away from D.K. Lillee now, and suspect he will at some point pass him.
Very underrated performer for Australia.

Not sure what more the bloke has to do. He is now Australia's all-time leading offie by country mile.

I guess many of us are stuck in wanting another Warne and fail to appreciate Lyon's achievements

but when we think of the Warne before Warne and then realise we probably only had three or four Warne's in one hundred years
