After the last album which sucked i'm very excited about the new more experimental concept album he is supposedly writing. He has always been a bit more in that vain but never tapped it and the results could be amazing.

I see that Ladytron is supporting NIN on their Euro tour, not what I'd have expected, but Ladytron are pretty cool.

My Violent Heart off the new album is floating about, supposedly "found in a bathroom after a show" but its now thought that they released it deliberately because of static at the end that shows a kind-of creepy pic when you analyse it.

me, im not is great, probably my favourite of the current leaks. And Survivalism is great too, love the synths in it. Speaking of NIN, just finished watching Beside You In Time. Very different live show then the Fragile and TDS eras. But none the less still one of the best live bands going around. Just wish he would play alot more of his older stuff.

its a shame they're not in Oz right now (before Year Zero).
The Europeans have been getting a good 20-22 songs each night with plenty of TDS, PHM and Fragile. The set lists have been amazing. By the time they get here they will insert a few tracks from YZ at the expense of some classics.

Well its finally leaked, on first impressions im a bit indifferent to it. Hopefully its a grower, alot of really good tracks but a few weak ones too. I had the same feeling first time I heard The Fragile too but now I regard that nearly as high as The Downward Spiral (greatest album ever IMO), so hopefully thats a good sign. Loving The Good Soldier, The Warning and Zero Sum. For anyone that knows what has been said about "I AM THE GREAT DESTROYER" its true. I laughed when I first heard it, but its probably more so to thinking of the comparisons :p

P.S Year Zero >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> With Teeth

Purchased the album yesterday and I love it :thumbsu: Definetly a return to form after a somewhat disappointing album in With Teeth.

And holy hell, The Great Destroyer scared the shit outta me when I first heard it and confused me too, for a moment I thought I was listening to the Transformers movie theme. God Given maybe my favourite vocal performance by Trent so far too.

Yeah, I'm not impressed with the new album.

He's trying for nothing. Just going back to his industrail days. His voice has no emotion in it whatsoever. You really can't feel the hatred or harshness in his voice. The tracks rarely move out of a two octave range.

Very disappointing but not as disappointing as With Teeth. I'm off to listen to the Fragile and Downward Spiral.
