Mario Kart is downloaded but I can't play it because I need to sync my Switches to set up "game card" sharing and I obviously didn't bring my other Switch to work. Classic stitch up.

I've just realised truly how bad it is. Can't even install free games like Rocket League or Fall Guys in the Switch 2 until I pair the Switches together.

They're free games. Why can't they just live on both?

All the menus and in particular the e shop are so quick and smooth now.

And I know it's kind of a low bar but Pokemon Scarlet is so much better now.

Yeah, got stuffed around with EB.

Pre-ordered this morning from Big W and was able to collect today. Same EB was a few doors down so was able to cancel the pre-order the same time.

Everyday Rewards accumulated from the Switch, was able to get $10 off plus a couple of gift cards was only $9 bucks out of pocket for the Pro Controller.

My god does the pro controller make a huge difference. I’m enjoying it a lot more now that I don’t need to use joycons. So far so good. Besides me messing up applying the screen protector

I only ever used pro on the Switch, so much better.

Hoping for some good third party replacements for the joycons, mobapad was great for the first one.

Joycons feel like they are designed for children and children alone.

Hmm not sure HDR is working for me in docked mode. The TV itself reports HDR10, but at least on the Home screen (still loading games) it looks fairly muted on colour. Also the brightness setting in the HDR config screen literally does nothing

I got a Switch in 2021 with MK8 Deluxe for $399. So a $70 discount on the launch price after 4 years, more like $140 if you include the game.

Was happy to pre order this time around even though I am not expecting it to be a day 1 sell out. $769 (less 5% via JB gift card discount thing) is steep but I would be surprised if it's any less than what it costs now by Christmas.

Same here. I just turned off HDR and the colours don’t look washed out.

Almost there though. I’d say around 80%-90% done now.

I found the original Switch to be a 'slow' downloader via WiFi the further I was away from where my internet modem is located. Moved it closer and had faster speeds (not as fast as ps5/xbox but still fast).

Been checking online stock status throughout the day, still in stock at jb and other retailers in my surrounding suburbs. It'll probably sell out by the time that the long weekend is finished.

That said I know of some stores that only got 70 in (and have only sold 12 so far) and others got 100-300 and haven't yet sold 20.

It should still sell (well derrr you say lol). But maybe some people may hold off for a bit ? I want it right now....... but have resisted the impulse purchase (I'd rather use the $700 toward my upcoming new pc purchase). That said I also recently spent $800 on multiple Transformers figures. Win some - lose some.

If the library was bigger I may not have resisted the urge. MK alone isn't pulling me in like MK8 did for the Switch. Although hand held Hitman is a temptation that's difficult to ignore

I had no issue with my pre-order (in store pickup) with EB as far as the console goes.

The only thing that didn't arrive yet is Split Fiction for some reason, but they reckon it'll hopefully be in tomorrow or early Monday. Not sure if thats a general thing or just my specific store.

I'm surprised at how incredibly smooth everything is, they've even figured out (finally) how to do a proper eShop. Now I don't have to go through three menus just to see what I wishlisted goes on sale instead there's a sub-menu as soon as you sign into the eShop.
