You Know You're Right. One of the many unreleased songs that hoe Courtney Love has been in the courts battling Grohl/Novoselic to stop being released to the starved and wanting Nirvana public. It's been released on the internet, and JJJ are playing it.

In my opinion, In Utero is their best album, and with this latest track you can tell that Nirvana were going further away from their grunge roots and using more melodic tracks whilst keeping the crunchy guitar and wailing lyrics of Kurt. It kinda saddens me that we never heard another album, I think it would have been groundbreaking in the way of OK Computer - but for grunge fans.

If you listen to JJJ, you'll hear it eventually (they're playing it a lot because they figure they'll be told to stop playing it), or you can download it off the internet via KaZaA or some other program. Or you can just be patient and wait until the years end where it will be released as a single.

Yet more hope that all those unreleased tracks will see the light of day. I bloody hope so!

Good to see it's out. I'm yet to hear it but i've been told it's good. Dave Grohl has been trying to release all their unreleased stuff for ages. There is a song that Dave wrote (last song on 1st Foo Fighters album - Exhausted) which is played by Nirvana, i'd love to hear it.

I wonder if Kurt wrote this whilst he was drinking bottle after bottle of bourbon, or snorting cocaine, or injecting smack...
Sorry but Nirvana for me ...
Not a fan.

Over rated IMO. I did mind Nirvana (sorry for the pun) but was never a major fan. I can understand why the fans are excited by an unreleased track finally being issued but sometimes these things are hyped up for the mere reason the person involved is dead.

One track that comes to mind was a Bob Marley unreleased track that finally saw the light of day. Sometimes there are reasons why track are unreleased. They are crap.

A good point, but in this case it's a brilliant track. The reason it was unreleased was because Courtney Love had the rights, there was never any problem with the quality. Both Dave and Krist think it's good enough to be released.

Hole performed it live on their MTV Unplugged session. I've had the only live performance of it on bootleg for years (but the quality is appalling). I still remember thinking, what a great song.

Can you believe I haven't heard it on Triple J yet!

The single comes out November 25, and will be a big seller for sure.

The big question is what happens with the album. I'm hoping similar to Smashing Pumpkins, a double CD with a greatest hits and a rareties for all the hardcore fans like myself. After a few weeks it would revert back to the normal 'hits'.

But I've it's more likely it will be a single CD with the hits and a couple of extra tracks at the end, making people like me fork out for a new CD when we have all bar 2 songs.
