I've been trying to find out if he is on contract or what happened, as I recall talk of an extension a few years ago so he could see through the Lathlain move. Fair enough that he stayed for a couple more years after a flag, but he really seems past it now.

I agree. I think we bottled it big time off field and were under-resourced. I remember some povvo club fans (norf or bullthrows etc) bragging how their clubs would manage it better as they were used to being poor. In hindsight, they might have been right.

Who gives a **** about profit when there's a salary cap and not private owners or the club being on a stock exchange.....the WC profit goes toward the poor teams in QLD, VIC and NSW. Pay out Simpson, overpay for conditioning and take money from other teams instead of giving it to them
