Someone, I think it might have been Chyloe Kurdas (https://twitter.com/chyloe14), said recently that Ashmore was settled and happy in Brisbane and Gibson was more likely to head down. Don't know how many Brisbane have lost in total. Someone else suggested they'd heard Ashmore was looking like signing.

According to PAV, Gibson had a better 2018. Another top-20 player with her highest PAV component at mid. So far,

Kearney, Garner, Gibson - top 20 players
Stanton, Randall - 20-40 range
Bruton, Duffin - 40-60 range
Hardiman, Gillespie-Jones - middle of the pack but Hardiman seems good as a pure KPD and G-J a developing tall utility
Bannister - ACL so not much data but a high-ish draft pick and highly rated.
Maddison Smith - Tasmanian open age signing, the Mo Hope of TSLW.

Of the ones we are rumoured to be approaching, Emma King is a top-20 player and the best ruck in the AFLW, Hope just outside the top 20 despite the perception that she's been poor, Ashmore outside the top 60 but still a real X-factor small forward.

I actually got organised today - very unlike me - and I rang the club and had an AFLW foundation membership added to my account!

I'm proud of the effort the club has put in regarding VFL and AFLW and the development of the club is sterling!!

I encourage everyone that has a spare $75 and you can pay in $15 instalments to give them a call!

I would be keen for the Mods to set up an AFLW membership tally at some point to help promote its existence and encourage people to get involved!!

One of our new signees that might fly under the radar a bit for people but that I'm personally really stoked about, is Jenna Bruton. Skillful, great mark for her size, good footy brain, and always gives a 4-Quarter effort. Predicting that given more (Midfield) responsibility and hopefully a better mix around her than she had at the Dogs, she'll thrive. If the footy staff driving our AFLW side are astute enough to target her, we're in good hands.

....Ashmore outside the top 60 but still a real X-factor small forward.

Really hope we get her. One of the quickest players in the AFLW but also has a massive tank and can run all day. Covers a lot of ground running the wings. Skillful player and dangerous around goals. Big yes from me.

Wondering if there's a tinge of the Malceski mirage about our recruiting so far. Most of the pickups enjoyed a bit of luxury at their original clubs as one of many cogs in a well-oiled machine. Brisbane's defence and Collingwood's forward-line were effective units this year, but it was Lutkins and Bernardi (actual top 20 players in 2018) that jump to mind as their respective leaders who handled pressure and responsibility most convincingly. Good opportunity for a few players coming to North to prove themselves in a new way next season.

I'm surprised it hasn't been posted but there was an article in one of the Melbourne papers yesterday which said Mo Hope is suspected to be in Fiji right now as a contestant on the next Aussie Survivor series.

It also reiterated that she was expected to join North Melbourne with the rider "but she's yet to sign".
