Shouldn't a well functioning cap mostly sort these issues out - if they get player payments to a reasonable level. Won't make much difference at a few grand per season but if they get it so the TPP's are reasonable I would think that the money will keep players suitably spread. 5k at one vs 6k at another is much of a muchness, but 40k at one and 75k at another starts to make a difference.

I think the cap will once the competition is settled, however, I think there is the potential for one or two clubs to be hit too hard while the talent pool is a bit thin if there is no control of player movement.

Taylor Garner will be pleased that his sister Jasmine has come over

North: the family club

Mo suffered from the marketing push of the AFL and Collingwood.

She had everything they were looking for to put out there to grow the game.

Unfortunately they made her out to be the Wayne Carey of the womans generation, and when she didn't single handedly win the Pies games it led to backlash from fans.

Jesus that is just mind boggling.

Another collingwood whinge :D

"What a farce the afl is

Only a few clubs are profitable

TV rights are dictated by only a few clubs , attendance figures same
North , saints, Melb gws Brisbane and the bulldogs shouldn't even have teams as there not financial and are a long way from it

Fed up with constant propping up of these clubs for them to then steal our players s and we pay it

Recruit a player , give em a job outside the cap

What a joke"

It is great - AFLW is a lot like men's footy was in the early days, with players moving due to personal circumstances and situations and relationships.

It was very common in the old days for players to move according to non-footy employment drivers, and because of fallings out with people and the like.

Damn we're building a significant list

Hope, Garner, Duffin, King, Kearney

Five very good players

I had been low on Hope given her atrocious use by the Pies but if shes getting it lace out by Kearney and the like she'll be fine

Great stuff by the club.

Next year will be fantastic - both teams exciting and on the rise, all happening down at Arden Street.

Hey No Bull - the club should do a semi-jokey but also serious thing of "Race to the next flag" where the Women's Team and the Blokes Team have a bet about who will win the next flag.

Losers have to do a forfeit - like donate $100 each to the Royal Children's Hospital and something like cook dinner for the other mob.

Would be good fun and build a nice internal competition/respect.

I'm with you but a bit concerned - will it be a let down if the men's team can't back up the premiership next year and does that have the potential to put a dampener on things?

Well ever since the Bulldogs blamed the womens team for distracting the club from achieving back-to-back premierships for their mens team.... I assume all clubs are as easily distracted.
