I signed up two days ago but I must've taken a wrong turn to not be on the list. No biggie.

Jumped on the $50 to be a foundation member last night, club took my money but absolutely no acknowledgement of a membership or anything. No email, just a paid invoice on my account. What is going on with our membership department? I don't even know if I am a member as the invoice simply says "AFLW contribution"

Now that you mention it...His North polo had a wallaby on it, not a kangaroo. I've been had!

I went into the club and bought one on Tuesday, it was $75. My name isn't on that list either. IIRC there was an opportunity to sign up really early and get your name on a jumper, that might be a list of people that got in before cut off. The guy I spoke to said they had some 3K+ members and that doesn't appear to be anywhere near enough names.

Getting excitinggg, getting REAL. I don't know why they name teams that way without the wings, considering they have to set up 5-6-5 at the centre bounce. Guess it just looks neater on paper.

Assume Munn and Haines are going to be the emergencies at this stage so as to not go in too tall, Emma King is very much a Goldy type in her preference to lone ranger it. Elisha King is the one I had in the team who missed out, but nevertheless have confidence in the others who got the nod.

I know a team sheet isn't a definitive showing of where a player is gonna play but I thought the coach suggested that Duffin was gonna be used as mid/fwd this season.

On a similar note, bit surprised to see Bruton named in a Back Pocket. Was hoping she'd see a little Midfield time.

Like you say, maybe it's one of those 'how they're named on paper won't be how they're lined up/how it plays out' kind of things.

Well, given that they line up 5-6-5 and not 6-4-6, it's definitely wrong. Weird way to announce the teams but they all do it so it must be another piece of administrative genius* from the AFL. Duffin and Bruton seem the most likely of that back 6 to be midfielders.

I just received my RACV magazine in the post. It has a story about Moana Hope. Really amazing. There a section I’ll quote:
