Indi Sleeth = The Vidual
Indi Sleeth = The Nial

BFNAAK (Still does, Grandad played for the club and is a life member), about 6 foot tall. Premiership Ruck and coach, can kick 40+ - 50+ metres on both feet, state rep as a junior, maybe even picked in a womens AA or tour to Ireland side (tho that could have been her sister).

Ongoing foot injuries so she'll fit right in.

She'd still be under 30.

Predictions roughly on track from above though Duffin still OOC has me slightly curious.

Spots 1-5: Top 3 are pretty clear cut imo. Spots 4 & 5 could swap with 2 of the next group fairly easily.

1 Kearney
2 Duffin
3 Em. King
4 Bruton
5 Gibson

Spots 6-10: positional needs have to be considered hence an emphasis on attributes like pace and defensive positions.

Garner
Ashmore
Gillespie-Jones

Grierson
Randall

Spots 11-15: all these players have shown something to be retained
Hardiman
Abbatangelo
Munn
Riddell
Drennan (I probably rate her higher than most)

Developing players – keep if possible:
Bresnehan
Bateman
El. King
Trend
Nanscawen

On the fringe:
Lynch - will probably go to Richmond
Mesiti
Humphries - club will rate higher, ball use suspect
Stanton - ditto

Haven’t observed enough to comment:
L.Haines, C.Haines, Smith, Williams,

Other:
Bannister – looks a quality player but hard to assess her ranking
Hope – a wildcard, would guess will be retained but quite hard to exactly rank
Elisha King told me she was 100% staying at the club which I’m rapt about, I suspect it’s just time. Got very much the same feeling from Abba who I think has a great relationship with Scotty Gowans. Ash Riddell is another I’d be signing ASAP.

Ash Riddell was leading the B&F count when she got injured so she is surely a priority.

that’s what greenbucks said

You’d assume Daisy Bateman will be staying as well, otherwise it’d be a bit awkward when she shows up for work at the Roo Shop.
Talented young player would assume so

3 players already gone (hope, Stanton, drennan) with I expect smith, Haines x2, Williams and nanscawn to be delisted

That leaves us with 22 with everyone else to be signed

PM Update: Top groups have gone almost exactly to predicted results and order.

Except for the previously mentioned Duffin who now gets curiouser and curiouser..

Sabina Frederick to Richmond. I guess they will get all the whiny headlines North got last year?

Sabina Frederick to Richmond. I guess they will get all the whiny headlines North got last year?

Prediction:
"Their ambitious if not outright aggressive pursuit of only the very best players has already set the standard for how all clubs need to approach the AFLW competition."

Paywall - can I assume from the photo that she signed with North?
Yep.

Bresnehan jumps at two-year AFLW deal with Kangaroos

THE ink was hardly dry on Nicole Bresnehan’s new two-year contract to play AFLW with North Melbourne yesterday when the Tassie Kangaroo said there was more talent around the state waiting to be discovered.
Taken at pick No.61 in last year’s AFLW draft, Bresnehan, 22, was just hoping to play a game in her first season.
She played four, including North Melbourne’s thumping of Carlton in the Kangaroos’ inaugural match at North Hobart Oval on February 3 and the win over defending champion Western Bulldogs in Launceston two weeks later.

Bresnehan, a business operations co-ordinator, was delighted with her first season.
“I was really keen to train hard, put in a big pre-season to put me in good stead to play at least one game,” she said. “I exceeded those expectations so I was really happy with that.”

Known for her skill, endurance and defensive capabilities, Bresnehan was surprised when her name was on the list of North Melbourne’s re-signings along with skipper Emma Kearney and inaugural best-and-fairest winner, Jenna Bruton, All-Australians Emma King and Jas Garner, as well as vice-captain and fellow Tasmanian Britt Gibson, Kate Gillespie-Jones and Kaitlyn Ashmore.
“I’m really excited to be on board for another two years,” Bresnehan said. “At first I was surprised about it being two years, but it gives a lot of reassurance and alleviates some pressure going into next season.”
The door is now open for more local talent to get noticed.

“I’d only just started playing football when the AFLW started and I didn’t really think that was a pathway I’d ever go down,” Bresnehan said. “I watched it on TV in its first season and thought that would be great, but I never really thought that would be something I’d get to do.

“This year showed there is talent in Tassie. I train with a lot of girls down here who are really high chances of getting drafted next year, which I think is great. We have a pathway in place and it’s for any girl now and that definitely wasn’t the case a couple of years ago.”
