Well that wraps up the 2020 season

Anyone know when the aflw draft is this year?

Assuming we take 3 picks we will need to cull 3 players

Wonder if there’s room to poach a star player and trade away our first pick. We are in premiership mode so would make sense

The AFL didn't recognise Freo and North Melbourne as the clear best two teams when it was obvious to everyone that they had one week to conclude the season. Yet they will inevitably punish both clubs by dropping them to the bottom of the draft order. How does that work?

North Melbourne Kangaroos leaderboard
Emma Kearney 11 votes
Jenna Bruton 10
Jas Garner 4
Kaitlyn Ashmore 2
Vivien Saad 2
Ash Riddell 1

Would like to see the round by round votes.

I wouldn't be surprised if three Richmond players got the votes after our 56pt win, the Umpires have no idea what was going on the field. Would explain some of the officiating during the game as well.

I understand the umps getting it wrong in the Brownlow...the men's game moves very fast and it is a midfielder medal the way the game is played these days.
The women's game at this stage moves much slower and the gap in ability between the players is very pronounced. The best players really stand out.
You only have to watch five minutes of North to know Garner is a class above her team-mates and most of the league.
I'm not sure how the umps could miss her so badly.

Prespakis is a deserving winner, but wowee that's an uncomfortably low tally for Garner.
Embarrassingly low. Surely this shows that the umpires are not capable of officiating and rating a players performance at the same time. Even at AFLW level.

Ash Riddell only receiving one vote is a little weird as well.

I reckon Bowers was better than Prespakis too. Goes to show you’re better off a good player in a poor team.
And men’s game or women’s, it helps to be a #1 draft pick. Great story with Huntingdon but I don’t know how that Saints AA forward wasn’t rookie of the year either.

Lol round 6 Aasta got a vote for 10 touches in the ruck losing team 46 points
On top of that, one of the dirtier players going around.

"Aasta O’Connor (Geelong) has been charged with Striking Vivien Saad (North Melbourne) during the fourth quarter of the match between Geelong and North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium on Friday, March 13. The incident was classified as a $1,100 sanction as a third offence for the season."
