I reckon not risking Cummins in this match could look pretty arrogant in hindsight. The bowling attack isn't much chop outside of Starc... we got lucky in Perth imo

Yep, took the foot off too much trying to avoid batting at night, now we’re behind. Good news is aggressive batting on this pitch looks possible so we might make a score tomorrow.

England will try to bat out at least 6 more overs in the morning so Smith and Australia get punished for the over rate today. Smith needs to make sure Starc has A1 recovery overnight to stop that happening as he looked shattered at close. Then it is which England bowling attack shows up as they were terrific in our first innings and terrible second in Perth. The loss of Wood might not hurt as much as we would hope as Atkinson is rapid but can also swing it a bit more if he finds his groove.
