They live on the "if".
Crawley, Root, and Jacks could have each tipped in another 15-20 on this deck . And if Jacks didn't gift his wicket 2nd ball that might have given Stokes enough of a breather to bat better. He seems to be moving OK today.
Although I enjoy us smashing them with no chance and them whining about it, them having a chance but doing themselves in and whining about it has a certain perverse appeal I must say.

So Green for man of the series?Remember, David Warner has been pumping up Green's tyres. That says it all.
I actually think they will be better off losing this series 4-1. They couldnt stuff up a series anymore than this one and if they are fair dinkum they will go away and change alot of what they have got wrong on this tour which is nearly everything from bazball, team selection, fielding errors, preparation and the list goes on. Most of it is basics. Bethell and Root have showed them how they need to play in the future and set the blueprint to be successful. Most of the Aussie best players are their oldest players which wont be around much longer. The talent is there for sure and Tongue and Bethell are the future. Gotta make a call on a number of other players though. If they refine the way they play they will be a handful in the next ashes in UK. Every test match they have had their chances which they didnt take. I have never seen a team stuff up so much and the Aussies have been good enough to take advantage. Both teams have depleted bowling attacks at the moment. They'll lose the series 4-1 and still have the opinion they have better players...."if only:....
Which is good. That means they'll cling to current delusions, and Australia will keep beating them.
Not sure which tears are tastier, * or the pommies?
For all the āEngland have had their chancesā, they have been thoroughly outplayed in almost every aspect.I actually think they will be better off losing this series 4-1. And with that, summer is officially over![]()
Miss the Adelaide test being the long weekend in Jan too. It's a shame the cricket season finishes so early nowadays. Miss the days of the tri series when ODI was enjoyable.

Australia easily the the best bowler, batsman, and keeper.
Australia have scored over 500 twice while England hasnāt even passed 400.
Australia has had many more 50+ run partnerships, partnerships win test matches.
All the āif justsā work on a fantasy that things would have otherwise been perfect, thatās not life or sport. They would have just lost in different ways.

I dunno. I reckon if that catch had been paid this morning they would have won this match for certain, and probably one of, if not both of the first two tests as well. They're not as good as they keep telling themselves.
They did in the late ā80s and ā90s too, back when one day cricket was the cash king.I remember one year, they had 3 one dayers...back in 82-83...
They said Starc is, so Iād guess all of them. $$$With that ending it'll be interesting to see how many players return to their bbl clubs. Some bbl teams still have 4 games left plus the possibility of finals

Awarded retrospectively I assume.I dunno. I reckon if that catch had been paid this morning they would have won this match for certain, and probably one of, if not both of the first two tests as well.

Brook and Root have been solid, and it looks like Bethell will be a gun. Why they stuck with Pope so long I have NFI. Duckett and Crawley have had their chances this series, and I've seen them play better in the past.I actually think they will be better off losing this series 4-1.
