Agree, he's done well, but 3 years ago he would have dismissed that wicket ball with a lightsaber leave, eventually making the bowler bowl at his stumps, to his strength.

Like Sewhag, Smith's ridiculous hand/eye co-ordination can't go on forever.

This board would be a ruthless selection panel. Smith, Labuschagne and Head are all getting dropped for no one in particular, although maybe Bancroft can cover all three. If Cameron Green fails in the second innings and doesn't do much in the Second Test, on these standards, he'll be banished to the Shield all next summer too.
