Continue rolling the video with snicko running you chumps. The bat hit the pad after the ball went past the edge. If they continue to roll the snicko vision and we see two spikes there's no arguments. As it is, by cutting the video as soon as one spike is seen we have controversy.

If the video runs through and only one spike is seen them it has to be the bat hitting the pad.
also far too zoomed in on the split screen on the right, zoom out and you can see the gab between bat and pad when the snick happens

From the M B. thread:

" As reported by The Indian Express, the broadcaster informed that the daily HotSpot operating costs are extremely expensive and the system is also not 100 percent accurate. Most of the worldwide broadcasters have also stopped using the technology for the same reason, including England’s Sky Sports and South Africa’s SuperSports network "

Apparently, even the International Cricket Council (ICC) have not included HotSpot in their DRS technology."

Maybe if they only had 40 halo cameras instead of 80, they could afford hot spot.

And yet snicko, which can show a spike when the bat hits a pad or hits the ground, when a toe Stubbs the ground or if the batter breaks wind with no ability to discern between the various noises, and not even the ability to precisely assess if the ball passing the bat is aligned with the spike on the screen is part of the DRS.

The only doubt with hotspot was when the English batters were using the Teflon coated edges on their bats.

Scallywags, they are saving cricket in so many ways.

English umpire Richard Kettleborough needs to adopt the George Costanza philosophy of doing the exact opposite of whatever he thinks happened when making decisions.

Or has the BCCI set a match condition that Australia has to ask the third umpire to adjudicate decisions in this series?
