Sessions are time based, not over based. Was wondering about that with tea called at 52/53 overs
i think there's a minimum time to it?
Thought it was 2 overs or 10 minutes.

Was thinking that 52 overs before tea is called is slow, that was 2hrs for 27 overs after only 25 before lunchSessions are time based, not over based.
I’d normally agree, but Sydney doesn’t normally need the extra bowler because of rain.![]()
You’re in next game
Extra drinks breaks are worth at least (checks how many are behind, subtract one for ‘credibility’), exactly that amount. Was thinking that 52 overs before tea is called is slow, that was 2hrs for 27 overs after only 25 before lunch
If a team can use spin or slow bowlers in the last session to better their over rate then all good. Was thinking that 52 overs before tea is called is slow, that was 2hrs for 27 overs after only 25 before lunch
That’s exactly right. Should be at least 87 overs today even with extra drinks breaks. It is up to the bowling team to make sure.If a team can use spin or slow bowlers in the last session to better their over rate then all good.
Typically a first session may be 2 overs slower than required due to strike bowlers being used, fielding positions changing frequently etc, then everything settles after that.
It's the final session where most teams hurry through overs.
Obviously there's factors built in, but the onus is is on the bowling side to get through regardless (in theory).
We haven’t got any batsmen- maybe InglisI’d normally agree, but Sydney doesn’t normally need the extra bowler because of rain.
Webster has done well over the last few Shiels seasons, but maybe a specialist bat at 6.
Inglis works well there. Maybe even McSweeney again there. We haven’t got any batsmen- maybe Inglis
Don't spend all your petrol tickets Nato.

I am tempted to come in off the long run on this one, but will wait for the verdict from the Rhodesian match refereeNo way Kohli avoids a suspension, unless of course...
Oh. The BCCI probably won't accept a suspension.
So a pissy fine will be imposed.
And no matter how much the fine amounts to, it won't matter a fudge to Virat.
