Great idea to bring in Cooper Connolly to lengthen the batting. That 4 runs will be handy.

Don’t get me wrong, good to see them blooding talent, but at least give them a game when they deserve it, not based on hit and giggle form.

Has a player ever been selected as a bowler before having never taken a first class wicket? Connolly may have a decent Test career ahead but his selection for this Test seemed odd.

BTW - blatant celebrappealing for LBWs should be an automatic no ball and not out. Hate it.

I've been watching all the shield games today, bloody good viewing watching WA capitulate at the WACA to SA, of all teams!

Got home at 4, just in time to see Sri Lanka with a lengthy appeal for LBW, for a ball that was straight batted 12 inches away (to the right) from the body.

One of the few positives of the review system is that it stops the silly appeals to a degree. Until teams run out of reviews…..

I was so confused as to who was bowling those off spinners. Had no idea he can bowl both off spin and medium pacers. Nearly backed up his wicket with a caught and bowled too, he must be a pretty good athlete because he moves like a gazelle.
