Every time Afghanistan look like hitting the accelerator, we somehow take a wicket. Not sure how with this bowling attack, but will happily take it!

Both Head & Short dropped. Both sitters.

Edit: finally held on to one.

Pretty decent powerplay that

SA 2/70 after 13.5, sutherland with both wickets

England are putrid in one day cricket and have been now for a few years which is surprising after they became the benchmark only a few years ago. You look at the players in that team and you do wonder how they are performing so poorly. Mathew Mott deserves an apology as many said he couldnt coach and only coached a great Australian's womens side. Nothing has changed with McCullum at the helm. You look at the Aussie side on paper in this tournament and it looks way inferior to the England side missing the whole star bowling attack but Australia just knows how to get the best out of themselves. Too many bit players in the England side is the issue with players like Salt and Livingstone just sloggers. They need to move on from Wood as well in one day cricket. He is just too injury prone at 35 and always has been. Save him for a few impact tests in test series only. The useless 100 competition has also impacted the 50 over game in UK with England players hardly playing 50 over game anymore. 50 overs is a lot longer than you think but they just want to slog it from ball 1 which no due care or thought about using all their overs up.

Blaming the Hundred and/or T20 is a cop-out. Because basically no international players play domestic 50 over cricket anymore, and haven't done for years. Everybody else has figured out how to play it at international level, so why has England gone backwards so quickly?

I would love for someone to be able to answer that. With the quality of players they have it doesn't make much sense- Duckett, Root, Brook, Butler, Rashid, Archer, Wood just for starters. Even with the currently injured Stokes in that team they have under performed. All those players are match winners on any given day but they just have not gelled the last 2 or so years.

What. A. Catch.

Even better when it’s Kohli who is caught.

Phillips is one of the great fielders. His highlight real in the past 6 months is just incredible.
