It was ballsy. But then again, Lyon is a bit of a cat, really.

Comes on after 3 of the best bowlers in the world have bowled (well usually). Gets a lot of wickets, sure, but how many times has he bowled us to victory? Twice in 150 tests?

He is a living example of SGW. Probably the best example of that in history, of course Bats(its) are going to go after him, of course. They relax and play shots as typically they struggle to get Hazlewood or Cummins or Starc off the square.

Let's see how it plays today, especially if Head gets going again. Smith is due and in form and Marnus is in form. Inglis is a great addition. A more positive move than Webster although I would have preferred Webster to Neser if they were going to drop Lyon anyway.

Most of the wickets yesterday were due to batting mistakes and poor batting decisions. Starc bowled well of course, but this pitch looks very flat.

The Australian A team suggests he's at least 3rd in line, if not 4th... behind Ussie, Kellaway (who is currently 71 not out at a run a ball), Renshaw (who failed) & maybe McSweeney (who is 30 odd not out).
