It was ballsy. But then again, Lyon is a bit of a cat, really.Said it before, but the pitch is very flat and is only going to get flatter. The exclusion of Lyon was arrogant.
Agree to an extent, but a spinner who offers control is valuable for our pace centric attack. It was ballsy. But then again, Lyon is a bit of a cat, really.
Comes on after 3 of the best bowlers in the world have bowled (well usually). Gets a lot of wickets, sure, but how many times has he bowled us to victory? Twice in 150 tests?
He is a living example of SGW. Probably the best example of that in history, of course Bats(its) are going to go after him, of course. They relax and play shots as typically they struggle to get Hazlewood or Cummins or Starc off the square.

Could go down as one of the worst selection decisions for years. If Lyon did nothing else other than lift our over rate above the abomination they produced yesterday then he's worth his spot. And I think he's worth his spot anyway.
Most of the wickets yesterday were due to batting mistakes and poor batting decisions. Starc bowled well of course, but this pitch looks very flat. We'll be right. As the old saying goes, you can't judge a pitch until both teams have batted on it.
Let's see how it plays today, especially if Head gets going again. Smith is due and in form and Marnus is in form. Inglis is a great addition. A more positive move than Webster although I would have preferred Webster to Neser if they were going to drop Lyon anyway.
Fascinating day's play in prospect. Get the popcorn out.
Bradman could make that by himself334.
Better grab a beer.
( any early wickets will be my fault > t.v. will go off at that stage ).
Konstas made a ton , straight back in I guess

Carse = the blow it out ya
I reckon the selectors were hoping to bowl at night. That we were ordinary (England batted well) meant they they were caught out.Agree to an extent, but a spinner who offers control is valuable for our pace centric attack.
Kunehmann may offer that.
