Maybe they can do something about the army singing hey Jude for the entire time root is at the crease. It has been driving my mum mental listening to it.
Imagine complaining about your enjoyment being impacted at the game when your country has the barmy army

It's enough to have one reach for the mute button.

Then they spend so much time singing about themselves.

I'm going to sing about myself at the footy next year and them claim it as creating atmosphere.

For Warwick Capper.

I had to flick through the replay of the england innings last night as it was late, so mainly just watched the wickets. Without fail, prior to and during, and after each wicket: "weeee arreee theeee arrrrmy".

Do they think it's inspiring? Or is it more a cry for help?

I worked with an idiot who had a life coach. The life coach only knew what the idiot told him. So he kept reinforcing that the idiot was a great person, did excellent work, helped his patients, had every reason to be positive, would excel in business and in life etc etc. The exact opposite was true. I feel like the English team have been similarly coached. “You’re all doing great! Bazball is working! You don’t need to adapt to the conditions. Just stay positive. No negativity allowed! No need to practice with a pink ball, you’ll be fine!”

The idiot is currently unemployed and bunkered down in a cult in the Phillipines. Perhaps after this series the English team could join him? Positivity isn’t always great if it’s completely misplaced and delusional.

It's the complete refusal to change approach which does me. There's always a time and a place for aggressive test batting, but if you do it down here without respecting the extra bounce and pace, it will generally fail.

We're literally not even needing to bowl at the stumps, because we know they will keep nibbling at wider bowling.

Someone like Brook has the natural ability to be the best batsman on the planet, but he's not being properly coached.

You can hear the frustration of the commentators and ex-players when they question the English players or coaching team and immediately get shut down with a standard answer saying We know what we’re doing and don’t need to try harder or do anything differently. Great attitude … if you’re winning. Not so much if you’re getting pantsed.

In shock move, Brendon McCullum stands aside in favour of AFL maestro Brad Scott

In a startling piece of self-sacrifice and cross-code ju-jitsu, Brendon McCullum has shocked the cricket world by standing aside as England Head Coach in favour of soulmate and current Essendon coach Brad Scott.

Announcing the move, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Chairman, Richard Thompson said "We're not afraid to shake the tree in the rigorous search for improvement". Asked to explain the unconventional move, Thompson "There's been a lot of unfair negative press around the team at the moment which risks bringing down the mood in the dressing room. We were really looking for someone who could shield the team from that kind of crass resultism. Brad has been a target of ours for a while as someone who can keep the team's focus on the vision, intangible and moral victories that remain our number one priority". McCullum has been widely praised for stepping aside. "The stars just aligned. I fell into a moment of reflection after Perth and that told me my vibe just wasn't where it needs at this level. And when you have a chance to grab one of the all time greats in not caring about winning, you grab it”.

Scott, was asked about what this means for his role as coach of perennial under-achiever Essendon in the AFL. "The details are yet to be finalised, but I can tell you this move has the full support of the board and the full playing group".

In other news, Ben Stokes was seen having coffee with Virat Kohli.

Someone here yesterday mentioned the TV commentators gobbying Ben Stokes, saying how great he is and how he's such a magnificent battler who will never give in etc. etc.

The channel 7 sycophants, including Ponting were at it again this afternoon already.
