Couple of incorrect things in this, Kosh...

Firstly, the 1920-21 Ashes was in Australia. They all then got on the boat and played another series in 1921 in England.

And the reason the 1921 matches were "massively short" is that they were only scheduled to be maximum of three days, not five days. Which I guess means they weren't that short, really.

(Incidentally, the 1920/21 Ashes matches were all timeless, but all went between four and six days.)

Poms have pretty much lurched between terrible and average against Australia for 40 years now. Haven't won a test here for 15 years.

Worse for them, this is one of the weakest Australian lineups for decades.

The Ashes noise is just marketing hype.

India and South Africa bring a lot more heat.
