Duckett has played 6 innings, not scored 100 runs in total and averages about 16 runs per innings. His highest score is 29. That other bloke is a Pom who probably paid alot of money to come out here and watch his side play like morons. Being a smartarse is okay if its actually funny or even just kind of funny like that comment.

The other angle on their spinner is they spend 3 years grooming Bashir for this tour and then they don't play him. Jacks looks like he can bat a bit, so play him as a bat and get Bashir in as the spinner. As it is, Bethell looks like he's coming in at 3, never having scored a first class hundred. Has that ever happened anywhere in any era?

There were a lot of ex-England players who thought Leach was the best spinner bet in our conditions and that Foakes should have been picked as WK with Smith as his back-up/specialist bat. They got everything wrong from selection, through scheduling (no preparation games), through training right up to the on-field shambles. Still, next time eh lads - the Barmy Army are already signing people up for the 29/30 series*.

* This is actually 100% true. A triumph of hope over experience.
