He used to be an okay bowler but now his bowling is sub par. Does absolutely nothing with it and is by far the least dangerous of all our bowlers. Combine that with his terrible batting technique I fail to see why they wouldn’t have went with a spinner over him.

The word "technique" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here roofan.

That will be very on brand for ECB. I think some of their media is finally wising up from what I am reading here but the likes of Piers will swing whichever way the days play goes.

The harsh truth is England are decent on their good days with a good core from 4-7 but rely too heavily on two veterans. They have nobody to hang their hat on 1-3 and only Archer and Atkinson that are test level ball in hand (though Carse has that happy trick of getting wickets with lemons). They are half a team. That will always be inconsistent. The reason they should be angry is much the same can be said of us. Two very flawed teams producing a very flawed series.
