I mean most footballers would be poor role models.

However this statement has less to do with that and more to do with being on brand for the club.

Which it is. We’ve made practically the same statement year on year for ages.

We had Kyron Hayden talk about his grand mother being part of the stolen generation and we posted a video of that on Australia Day. Kyron was delisted 4 seasons ago. So any sort of statement is not remotely new.

Zero issue with the club taking guidance from our indigenous players on how we approach this.

I'M BAck from both rallys. I actually went to the Sydney 'change the date' at 9am then got the red tie to Melbourne for the afternoon Patriots rally which I thought was the NFL team. I can kind of understand it, you can see the same frustration in this thread.
