Max Rooke was there as well but never really had a chance - using his chin to full effect, The Natural simply burned him out of the contest and soon Rookie had nothing left to do but look on awkwardly as The Natural (suitably attired in a nice suit and scarf, very casual prep) layed the foundations and began erecting the walls.

Well that's interesting, witty, because I heard that Essendon are making a late charge for Judd - offering to trade on the Keps, the messiah, and on-trade The Natural to WCE for the great man. Thus Worsfold will be able to mount the four-pronged attack from the goal square: Q stick, messiah, The Natural and Keps. This potent attacking combination will be sealed by another two ex-Cats:

FF: Johns - Lynch - Bradley
HF: Gardiner - Spencer - Playfair

I think it's all about timing.....if Matthew Spencer had been around in 1989 he could have got a game at CHB instead of Michael Schulze (similar skill level). You never know....he might have improved the team by a goal or two and won us a flag that year! Unfortunately he exists in 2007 which means he's trying to break into one of the best backlines in the modern era.

Come to think of it, if he'd been around in 1991 we could have used him at CHB instead of another pretty lousy Spencer (Trevor) who arrived mid season as a reject from Melbourne and played the last 10 games (including a preliminary final). Like I said.....it's all about timing.
