Preview No Changes vs Saints

Depends whether we accept that our list isn't up to it and put some senior players out to pasture. We've always suffered from rebuild denial then in 2010, 2011 and 2013 scored a handful of consolation wins late in the season to feel good about ourselves.
There is no way our admin will put senior players out to pasture.
Rutten, still need him and he was good yesterday. But Hartigan must play the rest of the year as well.
Thommo, it seems injury will make the decision for us. I don't want to see him finish this way. Hopefully he comes back fit.
Porps is gone.
Reilly, another year of his contract, hip hip hooray, will ensure he plays. Another **** up, CEY should have his spot.
Pods, no choice but to play him given we recruited him.

Our rebuild will come with never ever playing guys who have been on our list and are not going to make it. Pets, Martin, Thompson etc.

Sando overrates our list so I doubt it. Noble might have different ideas about our list. I don't think our list is too bad, it's more form and unfortunately the coaching group not getting the best out of them.

We definitely need to add some more top line talent, but the core group is pretty solid. If we added a good FA (ie Gibbs) and nailed our draft picks this year (might have pick between 5-10) and have a good run with injuries, suddenly our list wouldn't look as bad. Then from 2016 we should start getting some father/son players.

We're not losing to st kilda, infact we should win the next 4 games
OK Bails, it is your post that clinched my decision to drive to Melbourne next weekend.

If we lose (which I was sure would happen until your post) I will find you.:)

Out: Trigg, Chapman, Harper, Poulos, Clarke, Camporeale, Bickley
In: Thompson, Ling, Tredrea, various other smart footy operators

Players wise
Out: Petrenko (forever), Reilly, Thompson (inj), Grigg (inj), Kerridge (inj)
In: Cameron, CEY, Lyons, Otten (if ready), Kelly (one of the only players on our list that will ark up and show some fight on the field.)
I'm In!!….except for that bowing telephoning twatt….except that would really piss off Port, so i'm all back in!

I think yesterday's performance from Pets confirmed what a lot of us feared. As much as I love his intensity and I think he is the kind of bloke we need more of (a bit of mongrel), he just isn't a good enough footballer. I really hope CEY, Cameron and Lyons tear North a new one today and demand selection, and I keep hoping there will be a late change and the big Texan will play this week and make his AFL return next week. God we miss him!!

Yeah…I had the same erotic dream last night.

Hoping a Cameron and CEY play great

Jenkins missed goals he should have kicked but was otherwise very good.

Given our game plan is simply blind long bombing we need a big bugger to take a few marks up the ground and he did that. Also good on the lead. Give him a break.

Out- thommo, pets
In - cameron, lyons

If Kerridge is out too bring in riley knight

If Grigg is out too bring in Atkins

Team needs some fresh faces and enthusiasm.

I have loved porps but will flip my lid if he comes back in.

Edit - forgot CEY he probably gets a gig before Atkins

See this is the contradiction, he would have been good if he kicked those goals he didn't therefore he wasn't good. This is AFL football not St.Bernadettes Under 12s, missing very gettable goals is poor football.

In Smack to ruck the majority of the game
Jacobs to the goal square.

What about Jacobs rucks
Osborne to the goal square ?
I want to see the big fella and see if he has anything to offer, now or in the future.
Especailly if they want to keep bombing it in there as they do.
Get Cameron in and along with Betts, we might be able to crumb a few goals

Still not convinced on CEY let's hope he plays well today though.
He played well last week and got 10 clearances. He looks the goods if we are looking for a big bodied mid

Ok, I just couldn't remember a "break out" game for WWT over the last couple of years.
But now we can play him where we want to and where he will play at AFL level

At very least Petrenko out for Lyons .....at least Lyons can play midfield and forward

Getting killed at stoppages and clearances .......that's Lyons strength

Rutten has been fine, I don't see why so many people continue to want him out. As long as he isn't keeping Hartigan out he should play 15-20 games this year.

Brown is still only 21, is our small defender of the future, and has been fine. There's no point in dropping him, especially if we're playing youth.

So far this year Mackay has, to me at least, looked far better and quicker than he has for the past 3 years. We already struggle mightily in outside run/pace, and we don't have any legit outside runner types who are ready to come in and play AFL.

Rutten as general of defense has had too many go sailing over his head... plain and simply isn't part of the solution anymore...
Mackay - on thin ice... can and needs to do more... agree on the youth of brown and to persist with him...

Laird Hartigan Shaw
Jaensch Talia Smith
Sloane Douglas Wright
Johnston Jenkins Kerridge
Betts Podsiadly Dangerfield

Jacobs Lyons Crouch
Grigg Brown Mackay Mckernan
pick a sub....

Of the players available for selection, this would probably be the best 22 we could put on the park.
