Let me explain something to you about favouritism.WC were favourites before the game.That much is true.Adelaide were 4 goals up at half time,kicking with a 3 goal breeze in the 3rd quarter.Therefore,at half time,we were favourites.Being favourites at half time takes precedence over being favourites at the start of the game.This cannot be denied.Plus we had a weeks break and were playing at home.Take nothing away from WC,they were magnificent,but we choked.Why do you care anyway?Now get over it and stop crying.Greatness23 said:

FFS guys,Port supporters have accepted they choked in 2001(somewhat debatable),2002 & 2003.Why the f*** can't you just accept we have as well.You guys better hope we win the premiership next year,especially if we finish in the top 2,otherwise our record will be even worse and if you think it's bad this year,wait till next year.But I guess you'll just make up even lamer excuses next year to convince yourselves that it's not a choke.F***ing accept it and get on with life.

Everybody knows that the way the game is played these days, 3-4 goal margins are not big leads at all and can be lost in an instant. Just look at our last few minutes, WC were up up by 3 goals and we got to within a goal, oooh West Coast must have 'choked' in those last few minutes then. Come on man. West Coast WERE magnificant, it was hardly a choke.
If we had lost to Freo that could've been a choke, but we didn't. IMO no team that makes a prelim can be considered chokers unless they have only lost like 1 game for the year and lose the prelim.
If we dominate next year and finish top 2, then lose in the first round, clearly a choke.

I never said it was sucked in about Trents injury. I actually felt for the young lad. Flowers from Matthew would of been sweet for Poor little Trent. As gruesome as the injury was it was one of the best tackles I have ever seen.

That isnt what a choke is, a choke is losing a game that there is no reason that you should ever lose it. The points that are being raised are more straw clutching than anything else. You only had to look at the way Port played in those finals it spoke for itself. It didnt have anything to do with not making the GF.
I always saw it as the collingwood loss was bad but a learning experience, the loss against Sydney was inexcusable. Port were clearly the best team and finished 3 games clear on top of the table. The loss against Sydney was where the choker moniker came from.
I want someone to convince me that Port losing to an injury decimated Sydney in 2003 wasnt due to Port having stage fright. That was where the whole choke thing came from. I think the loss to St Kilda last season constituted more of the term choke than what it did this year.
As for people talking about what happens if Adelaide fails again next year. There is no chance IMO for Adelaide to even be in contention for a GF next season. The age of our side in comparision to the sides like WCE suggest that the Eagles still have a lot of upside while our side this season doesnt have any more upside so if we couldnt get the job done this year, time to regroup and try and build for another premiership assualt down the track.

You guys finished 1st last year at the end of the minor round, you were in exactly the same as West Coasts situation as last year, only this year it was reversed.
Yet the Crows lost both times, last years prelim wasn't a choke because it was away although you finished top???
This years is not a choke because although you won your first final and had a home prelim it wasn't because West Coast finished top???

Oh come on man.We had the week off and we were playing at home.We should have run over the top of them.I'm not disagreeing that WC were magnificent,because they were,but our boys didn't step up when the game was on the line.That's called choking under finals pressure.You have lost this battle,so just retreat quietly into the background.I am a proud Crows supporter,and I always will be,but they let us down.They CHOKED!Greatness23 said:
