Its simply not good Enough from the Club that things are Shut Up so that means there No Toilets or Food/Drink to Buy.

They could make money from it but they Refuse to.

Shows they don't care about there Fans/Members when at AIA Park

No food truck, but toilets were open inside the glasshouse and down a few sets of stairs.

No shade is a repeat issue, surely can’t be too hard/expensive to put some sails over the small terrace.

Not sure why Vic Park wasn’t used instead though. Maybe because the giants seniors are at the g that night? Maybe something to do with the AFL stream? 7 games bring a lot of gear in, so perhaps there’s some basic thing missing at Vic Park for the AFL stream?

Yeah, cafe was closed, but you could still access the toilets via the door where the players enter. No signs etc to say that though.

Okay - I know for next time then.

Sign been nice

Wow. The club has changed a lot (for the better) over the last few years! At least they’re now acknowledging things like this. In the past they would have been ignored.

Need to add this to the Do Better report, along with Taylor Adams kicking

My friend emailed Licca and got a reponse.

The cafe is no longer open to the public. its only for staff and players.

Another F**k You to Fans and Members by the Club

Its fine to do that during the week when the players are there. But on the weekends, during vfl games where nobody uses the cafe, there is no excuses. Makes it worse that the cafe at aami is also closed.

It's actually not that Dave, it's to mitigate any COVID-19 issues. If we're sick of players missing then we don't want to add to the likelihood of them getting some unexpected exposure.

The AAMI Park side should really be developed ASAP. They have those uncomfortable concrete terraces but could be easily expanded to allow standing/seating and to have some fabricated steel shade. Absolutely no reason why any of the operators of AAMI Park could also be allowed to prepare food at those facilities and then sell at ground level via some food trucks or stalls.

Agree. Don't mind during the Week it be for Players and Staff BUT when VFL Game is on it should be open really

Then wouldn't they still have to clean the Area Every Day as Someone at the Club might have covid but not tested Postive Yet?

So what is the DIfference?

They would absolutely clean it every day, but that's not 100% efficient. It aint a hospital. I'm definitely not disappointed they are being cautious with the way they have closed off those facilities.

But I can definitely see they need to provide more hospitality on game day if they're hosting at EIEIO AIA park.

Yeah, there were signs on the cafe windows saying as much.

It could be done with completely different cafe staff to minimise subsequent cross over with footy staff, but not sure how readily they can’t find/justify different cafe staff for a few hours work.

If food trucks can be organised for local footy then there's no reason why one can't be organised for a VFL game. They'd probably make a killing.

I would of thought so too and they have other people walking around thru that Area that might Buy Food/Drinks
