What the hell is the AFL doing for the game in Brisbane.

Who's idea was it to set the prices for that game at $49! No wonder the ground was only 2/3 full.

And why was a game that was not a sellout as I heard shown live in Brisbane? While it's great to show games live in Brisbane, never should they be showing games while the game is NOT a sellout.

Empty seats at a final looks terrible, it should never happen again.

Not very smart on the AFL's part. I realise different venues have to charge diffeent amounts, but they really should have subsidised Saturdays game in some way. (I guess suggesting they charge more at the Ess/North or Melb/Carlton isn't the way to go? You know, try and equalise the prices a bit?)
Hope they get it right for next year...

They are simply doing in Brisbane what they do in Sydney. I've been to four finals at the SCG in recent years and paid between 50 and 56 dollars each time for a seat undercover. Matches in Sydney are always shown live in Sydney, regardless of whether it is a sellout, except for Friday night and some Saturday night games. The finals are always live. Ask anyone who lives outside Melbourne and they'll tell you footy in Victoria is dirt cheap compared with everywhere else. Hopefully, once the Olympic stadium is re-configured, a future Swans final will have ticket prices more like those at the MCG.
