I like how our guys can be prickish in their dealings. Don't get anywhere being super nice to everyone

I dont agree. Freo went the ol double bluff and have got themselves a resolution I'm sure they have been after for sometime. I bet its only been played out in the media recently because the other party (Nisbett) has been playing hardball up until now and it was the perfect time to whip the football loving public up into a frenzy bout it. Well played if you ask me.

Yeah i dont really get this tho,sure i understand you d rather the "truth" and so would i most of the time but i understand in this case why they didnt.

And that was they were simply giving WC one last chance at a compromise WITHOUT the circus (and ensuing debate around glendinning himself). We were simply being professional in regards to a somewhat sensitive issue around the wa footy public.(personally i couldn't give a **** and wouldve preferred no medal,no cup)

Yet ironically, it had the opposite effect by ,namely wc media,supporters getting up in arms c,alling us petty and labeling it disrespectful to Ross .

When it turns out ,by running to the media nisbett has shown himself(certainly not the first time) and club to be the petty ones and dragging glendinnings name through the ringer for the week.

Apart from spicing up the game and likely getting a very favourable sponsorship deal for the game One things for sure , i doubt our managemet/ admin will be so amicable with dealings with WC in the future on issues regarding both clubs.

I think it is appropriate that we strike a new medal and we will retrospectively go back to the beginning and the ones that were not awarded one and the ones that got a medal will be awarded one as well so everyone has got a new medal.”

Happy with the addition of Ben Allan's name. Might seem petty to those who've always got their way but to those slighted it's worth standing your ground. The media ruckus was an entirely expected part of their maneuvering. It wasn't pretty but sometimes you have to fight dirty. A perfectly reasonable time to do it - if not now, then when?
 
Haha ah classic channel eagle..... apparently its a "backflip" by ourr club now, aka we caved in from our early stance of no medal presentation.
....oh but in follow up wording the club gets their wish of another name added to tbe medal- umm kinda what we wanted all along then huh?

And weagle supporters accuse us of being tin foil hat wearers...:rolleyes:

Allan sounds like the probability add on in the article, but shouldn't that been done originally?

Bell or Pav other obvious candidates. A bit of synergy with Bell being a champion NM player too..
