Didn't hear that he was injured, I heard he was omitted, hopefully it is only bruising that's keeping him out, but if not, he should have played in the VFL today, he may end up playing tomorrow, you never know, Cloke a permanent CHF, Setanta a permanent defender, Kreuzer and Hammer share the ruck duties?

To me, he certainly hasn't looked anywhere near 100% since he has come back from his minor knee surgery just prior to the NAB Cup. Having said that though, he was omitted from the 22, so you would think he would have played for the Ants.

Give him a month in the Ants, get him back to close to 100% fitness, and then bring him back into the senior team.

Exactly what I thought HBF, but the fact he was omitted, then didn't turn out for the Ants, suggests to me either a) he's injured or b) he's going to play tomorrow.

going to play tomorrow ohhhh u are clever djibril. Are you sure that's not you rats hiding behind the one legged man?

what a cunning plan.... bwahaha

or c) there is an injury cloud over one of our talls and he is being kept in reserve. If he doesn't play tomorrow then he gets the week off and it's just an added bonus to the knee injury...

I suspect C) ;):p

hmmm explian?

hampson was omitted, they wouldn't hide an injury, there is no need to especially with a team of Melbourne's ilk next week (not being cocky but we have the tall guns to easily cover Melbourne).

They didnt play him in the Ants today because there may be an injury cloud over one of our listed talls. Should our slightly injured get up and play, Hampson has the week off. Essentially if he plays then we replace one of our talls with a good player, if he doesn't play then he gets a week's rest which can only do some good in his healing knee. :thumbsu:

haha thanks, yeah i knew all that, what i was talking about was who we think the player is?

I thought when watching the replays that Cloke was complaining about his shoulder once or twice... maybe some neck/shoulder soreness?... Kreuzers hip maybe?... Second thoughts on a match up for Setanta?

i think in truth, hampson still is not 100% fit and this has been evident in he's performances in the last couple of weeks.

I don't think that it is worth having a 200 + cm player on the field if he is not adding any value atm... now playing 30% game time is not really adding value, and he's performance last week was at most un valuable.

He is stilll very raw and needs time in the two's to become the player he will be..

I would not be suprised if he stayed there for a few weeks to be honest.
