I was surprised to play online (pacificpoker.com) and find that some of the players were young (12-16)!

Yeah I saw the Aussie. Initially I was excited that there was an aussie on the show...however he was an arrogant loser. You don't play poker that way.

Agreed. No need for that. I'd like to think that I could play a sport, including poker, and make friends, not enemies.

I have started playing at crown at the 4/8 tables. Limit holdem is a lot different to No Limit in that it is a lot more important to play the actual cards you have rather then placing such a huge emphasis on betting/bluffing/reading as you do in No Limit. Also, if you start playing limit, be prepared to throw away about 80-90% of hands. If you play any more then this, you will end up losing for sure.

I'm playing in a couple regular No Limit home games and have just recently purchased a new poker table. It is great when you can get a regular group of blokes around and have a few beers over some social hands as well.

I've attached some pictures if anyone's interested :)

Poker Tournaments at Crown

Me and some mates are having a hard time getting 10 committed fellas along to a Challenge or a SIT&GO Tournament. Anyone want to join us, or let us join you?

A number of us from work go every couple of weeks and it just works out great. We have about 14 players but generally there is a few that can't play on certain weeks but we always get our 10 or 11. They will squeeze another player on if necessary.

You can actually contact Crown and tell them that you are a few players short and they will generally assist.

Anyone know where i can get some gambling chips from? A mate of mine and myself were contemplating organising a hold 'em poker night with a $20 buy in......would need a few chips

You can buy all sorts of chips at any games store fairly cheaply. If you want the professional complete set with the dealer button, cards and the proper chips etc then you might be paying around $120

Was actually playing last night (well this morning) at the Casino till quite late and on the table next to me sat Adam Goodes, Jarrod Crouch, Matthew Nicks and on another table was Jarred Poulton. Good to see a few AFL boys playing a few hands and from the looks of it, Goodesy left with a bigger stack then he started with so had a bit better luck then his side did against the saintas :D
