Ive never been impressed by Gus Hansen, I always thought he was a player built by reputation more then by his skill and so forth. I think if you play Gus like any normal poker player you will beat him.
For those interested, I purchased a DVD a couple months back, Final Table Poker which is a final table with commentary (intermediate or advanced) by Phil Gordon. Goes through 20 or so strategies and includes a Starting Hand Guide and an Odds & Outs Chart. Great addition to the DVD is some funny poker commercials. For US $25, it's a worthwhile purchase.

I think it's just that he got very exposed by the WPT and people found how to play him and beat him over time.
There are a lot of good poker sites online, too, especially for beginners learning the game. I recommend:

Well, 71 year old Texas Dolly just put on a clinical display of hold 'em poker on Fox8. Close to inflicting physical pain in heads up as Lee Watkinson made one bad call after another. Actually, Doyle played brilliantly and Lee was simply no match even though at one point he was a better than 3 to 1 chip leader.
