No more forum what do we do now??

Having spoken with a few on the new Saints chat site it looks like many will be disenchanted with the setup.

Having been here for a while (although far to infrequently lately - sorry guys) I believe that bigfooty can satisfy the needs & expectations developed over ages of being spoilt on FF.

We have to have somewhere a bit more permanent than a damn chat line.

www.saintsforums.tk also seem to be available to fill the void, so we'll have to keep writing to both to try to find a way of replacing our lost forum.

For those going tonight, hope you have a great time, look forward to your reports later.

i really enjoyed the fan forum, adn i think there will be a void now. I cannot seem to to get onto saintsational in the last couple of days, it just freezes my computer, every time i try. not sure i like the new st kilda site, oh well!!

has anyone tried getting into saintsational lately?and another question, has anyone tried joining up for the email from the afl site or the st kilda site? i get some type of error message!

Saintsational may struggle with volume... and don't get me started about the new AFL (pay as you go) site.
Why not just congregate here for now?

i think we will be getting a few of the official forum regulars over here.

i will miss the health updates of roger_wa and grant thomas's inside info on the forum. typical of the way football is going to take away something that is free and popular and replace it with a glosssy yet inferior product that we will have to pay for.

Looks like it's the price we're expected to pay for supporting footy in our wonderful modern society.

Thommo previously indicated that he was looking to continue communicating with supporters in some sort of more regular renwed chat format. Done properly, I can live with that.

As for training reports etc, there's no reason that they can't be posted here & at other sites like saintsational, sainters.com & saintsforums.

I believe that 1 or 2 sites, & I definately hope this is one, will develop a 'critical mass' of support that provides somewhere to replace FF.

Although I've not written much anywhere over the off season over the last couple of days I've been trying to maintain a presence at most of the places above just to fly the flag. I reckon plenty of people are feeling unimpressed at the moment, but we can't let difficulties with adapting to new circumstances ruin the great StKilda online community.

I urge all sainters to keep putting your 2 cents worth in at whatever site you happen to be at, over time one or more places will grow to help fulfil our expectations.

I miss the Saints Fan Forum The new chat setup doesn't even come close to what we had. I just hope that whoever is in charge sees the light of day and brings back the forum to the new site.
The way things are at the moment I can't see the new site getting as much hits.
Has anyone here heard from Eastern or Roger and where the regulars now post?

and how do you get that saints email from the official saints site? does anyone know?
