They didnt want him missing the Geelong clash huh?
ADELAIDE star Andrew McLeod will not undergo surgery to drain fluid from his left foot after a specialist decided his condition was improving.
McLeod has been carrying a bursa at the base of his foot for more than a month, but he said today that he was feeling better each week and would prefer to play through the problem rather than undergo surgery.
Even so,club doctors, the foot specialist and senior coach Neil Craig spent extensive time in discussion with McLeod before reaching the decision.
"Hopefully the rehab and the rest will help settle it down,'' McLeod said today.
"It was better last week (against St Kilda) than it has been, and we think it is manageable so I'd prefer to keep playing.''
Adelaide is on its mid-season break.
