Being a libertarian I am usually all for creative distruction, that method that capitalism uses to drive progress and efficiency: plows rather then hoes, computers rather than clerks) but hands off my scoreboard. Phyllis won an award(from the VAFA) from a photo taken of me being hit by wind blown plastic numbers as I attempted to keep up the scores.
In the last quarter we simply held up the points scores. It was all we could do with four hands. What sort of community photo could we get with an electronic scoreboard? It blowing up and electrocuting passers-by?
I like seeing the gentlemen that man the scoreboard over the other side and ,as I do the Twos, it gives me a reason to sneak out of the house early, go down to the ground and have a cransky for breakie, and head over to the scoreboard.
Hands off my scoreboard
