Just wanted to make mention that this year for the first time in a while, there is no obvious favourite player for me as a supporter of North, and I get the idea it might be the same across the board.
Not our best player, might even be a fringe player, but we have a group now that is exciting and talented.
No more having sam gibson or liam anothny has our 3rd or 4th best midfielder, and matt campbell or kayne turner running in the fwd half (no disrespetct, they all gave alot to club, but i doubt any could be considered a favourite)
Over the past 5 or 6 years it's been bleak, cunners, ziebell, larkey and ldu last 2 years
But this year is different. Our BEST players are LDU, sheezel, wardlaw, larkey... but then you have comben and xerri not far behind and the way they plays could easily attract the eye.
Then there's our electric type players, ford, Curtis...
Powell, Phillips, duursma, mckercher all have something that a supporter could latch onto (especially after the Powell barrel and mckercher run)
Then there's Archer. Wowee.
