Roast No 'Rising Star' nomination in 3 years

Looked it up, and we’ve had the following B2B nominations in consecutive rounds:

2021: Jackson, JJ
2020: Jackson, Pickett
2015: Hogan, Brayshaw
2009: Grimes, Jurrah

Couple more in the last decade or so separated by one round. When it rains it pours

Noms for Jackson and JJ, after Kossie and Jackson were nominated last year.

Sparrow, Chandler and Rivers still eligible along with the new draftees. More importantly than the RS we do have a decent young core coming through. Easier to play well as a kid in a dominant side obviously.

Current under 22s: Spargo, Petty, Chandler, Bedford, Sparrow, JJ, Rivers, Jackson, Pickett, Bradtke, Neita, Rosman, Bowey, Laurie.

Baker, who turns 23 in two weeks, is currently our only 22 year old, and will be our only player aged 22-23 by July when Clarry turns 24 until Petty turns 22 in November, on account of trading out of the 2016 draft. But otherwise we don’t have any gaps in our list, which is hugely different to where we were at 2014-2019 or so.
How the actual * does sex god Trent Rivers not have a nom yet. I call corruption, how did he not get it against GWS last year where he won us the game. He better get it next week.

The draft class of 2018 is looking better in hindsight. 2019 was a slam dunk and apart from some apprehension about Jackson fitting in, has looked awesome from the get go.

So nice to not even care about seeing any 2020 draft players play. All look like they can play a role in the future as well.

How the hell has Rivers not got a nom? Too consistent maybe? Doesn't have that huge noticeable game due to where he plays. Usually mids or tall forwards who get the noms. No offence to JJ who has been great, but Riv is much more deserving IMO..

He had the gws game last year but Scholl for the crows dominated and was nearly BOG, Quaynor the same and I think Quaynor got it, then Scholl as a backfill kinda deal.

Here I was thinking Rivers played too many games last year, but he only played 9. One wonders if those who make the decision to pick a player each week think he's not eligible either!

similar to Hunt not getting a nomination in his year despite playing almost every game and playing well
