As a favour to the author of the OP, I have summarised his main points for people to comment on ... ;)
  • These inconsistent performances are making our club an embarrassment- not so sure we're an embarrassment, I think we miss Wells terribly.
  • Our forward structure is not working. It's a joke. The forward line of any side struggles when the ball movement isn't crisp or clean. Hacking the ball forward and having a group of ten players standing under it doesn't work well.
  • It's been said that Petrie's game is affected by the arrival of a new child. Could that have anything to do with his putrid form? I know he kicked four last week, but aside from that effort, he has been hopeless. I think he is done. Well interesting take on it, could be right maybe Drew's spending too much time having the sex?
  • Our only goal kickers are crumbing forwards such as Thomas, Nahas and Boomer. You can't win a premiership without your tall forwards firing. Small forwards will pinch us games here and there but won't win us finals. Again with better movement comes opportunity it's hard for anyone to find space when we're slow.
  • That we can be great one week and terrible the next makes me think that, aside from the forward structure, our other big problem is mental. We are mentally weak. The midfield drives any side we're a bit one paced atm.
  • I can't work out what has happened to Aaron Black. Think he might be having too much sex as well or watching porn if that's his bag.
  • I'm so pissed off I forgot what paragraphs are- I think there used to plot drunk peoples movements.

These types of threads make me sick.

Didn't see you last week starting congrats threads but I bet you ran around enjoying the win all week?

And then you have the gall to come on here and post that.

There's a team already made for you. ..try the Tigers board or man up and take the good with the bad.
So what sort of post would you regard as acceptable? Or would you prefer that no criticism of the team's selection throughout the year, the game plan and the players' performance be posted?

Just look at our starts, you will win damn all if you are behind the opposition by 5 goals at half time.

The downhill started from ****en Kevin Sheedys Bombers way back in 2000 followed by Neil Danihers Demons and David Parkins Blues then the rest of the teams followed suit until now and never a premiership contender ever since.

Here's a simple stat.

Here are the best game winning streaks of teams in the 8 this year:

Sydney 8
Port 8
GC 5
Geelong 5
Fremantle 4
Collingwood 4
Hawthorn 4
Adelaide 3
NM 3

NM just have been unable to get a run of form together.

last year in the trade period we showed some balls and got a name player, that has produced thus far his best season statisticly, worked out very well for both parties.
we need to be brave and trade for a young forward this year, if that means giving up a player we all like or rate then so be it.

There is no simple answer. There is no simple question.

All I can be bothered addressing is that it's boring to read "they don't win when it counts", when it counts every week and they have actually won seven times when it counted. More often won than lost when it counts, as it happens. Last night was very disappointing. The previous two weeks were very pleasing, in different ways.

Lots of players in our team have not been in good form this season, and a number of important players have been out. And we have a positive record and are in the eight, with the hardest part of our season on paper behind us. Glass half empty says that's our lot this season, we won't get better and we will finish mid-table - glass half full says we can improve a lot and when we do anything is possible.
