The less intelligent Liverpool fans (in the Cooldude category) were fairly content with the Konchesky transfer.

Surely I dont have to prove anything over Joe Cole. Most people remember it. Apart from the odd few (you, SebVet) the majority of Liverpool fans (even Dagger5 admitted it) were very happy with the Joe Cole signing.

As Crimson King said I think jod said Joe Cole would provide you with the width Yossi Benayoun didnt. Big argument ensued with most pointing out Joe Cole and Yossi Benayoun are virtual carbon clones except one has actual talent.

When we're doing the same thing for like 20 strikers, then we're Man City. If we're doing it for one, then we might be making one really big mistake, no?

Embers: It's idiotic to compare one signing with the host of strikers that Man City's signed for the past couple of years. Until we have 8-12 strikers on our squad who are all overpaid, then we are not Man City (which is the topic of discussion btw).

There's 2 or 3 people I got along with on there, and that stemmed from other boards.
