I don't watch the News these days, it's just non factual hyperbole for the most part.
Many of the people who still watch and read the "news" are elderly, gullible or just morons. They get suckered into hearing about things like minority gangs, violent crime and plain bad news, they start to buy into it, get upset about it and keep tuned in to it, basically an addiction formed out of fear and unrest.
In digital media again it's regularly the worst of news that isn't always rooted in fact which generates the most clicks, it's up to you to read between the lines, or look to the places that still promote an unbiased factual compilation of news.

I used to watch seven news and as soon as the onnouncer started to talk about a bashing, or robbery, I would shout to the Mrs “Apex Gang”.

Well they have be Proven to use Footage from something Different then what they are Reporting On
