I wanna feel bad for him but he seems like a bit of a spud that clearly lost the playing group months ago.

Realistically when noble got the job, where did they expect the club to be rd 18 this year

Assuming that all the other under performing personnel at the club get the heave ho also?Oh come on, Noble's win-loss was wore than Neeld's.
He had to go. It's A results based industry.
His days were numbered once Geoff Walsh was appointed to oversee their review.
So who do they get? Surely not another untried coach.
Clarkson is the dream but I think it's just that.
Ross Lyon seems better suited to a mid table team looking to surge into finals.
Nathan Buckley might be open to it but he only like players that operate his way. Would take a few years to clean the list out.
Hird/McVeigh seem to be doing alright at the Giants. Do they really want to come back to the VIC Media though?
Choc Williams and Alan Richardson have a reputation of being great with kids/developing teams. Their time at Melbourne could be important in bringing successful IP to a bottom club.
Going to be a really tough sell from North though. They are as rock bottom as it gets.
Some of the things people write are extraordinary. If that was the case he wouldn’t have taken it. No one is forced to do anything.Feel bad for him. He didn't even want the role.
Paul Roos convinced him, then permanently relocated to Hawaii and is still in a 'consulting & mentoring' role over there. That's potentially a bigger pisstake than Steven Trigg being Carltons CEO from SA.
The list is bad. But it was still wayyy under performed. And obviously Noble has paid the price for that. The list is that bad.
Compare it to most other lists and you will see what i mean.
Noble did a poor job but very few coaches could do anything with this list. It still needs another 15-20players turned over before it is anywhere near competitive. Thrashings are expected.
Short memories of your mob from 2012-2018? Every club goes through thisWow 3 coaches sacked in 3 seasons can’t see anyone really lining up for this position it’s a poisoned chalice
With your list they should have expected it unless they are morons.
I dont rate noble but he is not the problem.
Agree with you to an extent on this one, but they also expected to see at least minor improvement from last year, not to go backwards and that’s where it all falls down toImagine gutting your list to bottom out then a year later deciding the senior coaching position is win-loss based. Regardless of who was coach he would have been a dead man walking. Likely the same scenario for whoever gets appointed now.
Won't be too many highly credentialed coaches jumping to take the job under those circumstances.
Alistair “AL” , will you accept this rose ?

There are many things to fix at any club atthe bottom of the ladder. Eagles in a similar situation list wise and off field.
So are you saying a better coach with a new message and style wont make a difference? North will continue to be uncompetitive for years as the list is so bad?
I dont. IMO the right coach can turn them around and heading in the right direction within 2 seasons.
How long do you think it will take with a good experienced coach?
